The Jeanne Russell Janish Papers (1833-1994; bulk dates 1894-1994) consist of journals, diaries, research files, academic records, correspondence, photographs, and paintings and drawings that document the life and work of the illustrator and watercolorist. The paintings and drawings consist of approximately 140 watercolors and pencil sketches of various scenes and subjects, created in China, Florida, and the American Southwest. The collection also includes writings by Jeanne’s husband, Carl F. Janish.

The National Organization for Women, Las Vegas Chapter Records document the philosophy, activities, and politics of the National Organization for Women (NOW) from 1966 to 2009 with most materials covering the period of 1971 to 1974. The records demonstrate the activities and political positions of NOW and they include correspondence, policies, memoranda, files, publications, and ephemera from the Las Vegas, Nevada chapter.

The Basil N. Harris Scrapbook consists of a scrapbook of materials from the Las Vegas Strip from the 1942-1969 consisting of cocktail napkins, show programs, menus, swizzle sticks, and postcards from a number of different hotel/casinos including the Flamingo, the Sands, the El Rancho, and the Last Frontier.

The Dorothy Dorothy papers (approximately 1913-1986) document the life of singer, songwriter, columnist, pilot, and farmer, Dorothy Dorothy. Materials contain genealogy records, correspondence, business and organizational records, local history, sheet music, artifacts, and two boxes of photographic prints. Also included are materials relating to her active involvement with animal rights campaigns.

Vivian Woods Papers (1960-1989) document the activities of Nevada artist Vivian Woods. The papers contain scrapbooks, correspondence, Las Vegas Artists' Co-Op history and rosters, a poem, and photographs. There are also three watercolors painted by Vivian Woods.

The Christie Young Papers are comprised of Young's personal papers, journals, and photographs between 1982 and 2011. The journals document Young's arrival to Las Vegas, Nevada and her involvement in several nascent Las Vegas lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) organizations from 1982 to 1985, such as UNLV's Lesbian and Gay Academic Union (LGAU). The collection includes materials related to her life in San Diego, California from 1985 to 1995 and typed transcripts of all journal entries that relate to the Las Vegas LGBTQ community.

The collection contains programs, organizational records and reports relating to the Governor's Conference on Women held in March 1989 in Carson City, Nevada.

The Ardis Kearns Papers (1807-1995) contain correspondence, planning and zoning ordinances, committee reports, newspaper clippings, newsletters, and publications documenting her various social and political activities. The materials date primarily between 1960 and 1983, with some papers dating to the 1920s and two publications dating to 1807 and 1808.

The Nevada Campaign for Choice Records (1987-1990) address the 1989-1990 pro-choice campaign regarding the legality of abortion and codifying Roe v. Wade in Nevada. Records include material on the campaign structure, finances, steering committee, minutes, campaign literature, correspondence, campaign buttons and stickers, mailing lists, clippings, two video tapes, and one audio tape.

The Lori Lipman Brown Papers date from 1975 to 2009 and document former Nevada State Senator Lori Lipman Brown's political career. It includes correspondence and materials from Brown's service as a Nevada State Senator from 1992 to 1994, case files from her defamation lawsuit against Nevada State Senator Kathy Augustine, and papers from her work opposing the Nevada Question 2 ballot measure on same-sex marriage in 2000.
