The Shade Tree Shelter Records date from 1990 to 1996 and consist primarily of logbooks and journals compiled by the staff of the Shade Tree, a shelter for homeless and abused women and children in Las Vegas, Nevada, documenting daily activities, incidents, and residents at the shelter. The collection also includes summaries of the staff's telephone conversations, a newspaper article about Shade Tree, and fliers and brochures about social services available in Southern Nevada.

The Planned Parenthood of Southern Nevada Records (1980-1995) contain materials related to the internal administration and structure of the organization such as reports, strategic plans, and statistics. In addition, the collection contains materials pertaining to fund-raising activities such as fund-raising guides, ideas, and resources. Also included are brochures, articles, fact sheets, and clippings regarding various subjects including abortion, birth control, family planning, sexual education, sexually transmitted diseases, and teen pregnancy.

The Greenpeace Pacific Southwest Records are comprised of files and documents pertaining to environmental activism in Southern Nevada from 1962 to 1994, primarily addressing the organization of protests at the Nevada Test Site. The collection contains newspaper articles, newsletters, publications, financial records, protest information, correspondence, meeting minutes, articles of incorporation, Freedom of Information Act requests, and Nevada Test Site information.

The Slavin Family Papers (1905-1965) are materials related to Hale B. Slavin, a doctor who practiced in Las Vegas, Nevada from 1933 until his death in 1965, his wife Ruth Slavin, and his children, Thomas and Sarah Slavin. The collection includes memorabilia of events and commemorations, Hale B. Slavin's schoolwork from elementary through college, Thomas and Sarah Slavin's elementary school work, photographs, family correspondence, postcards, a diploma, and newspaper clippings.

The Wilbur and Toni Clark Papers date from 1944 to 1991, with the bulk from 1953 to 1963 and document the lives of Wilbur and Toni Clark in Las Vegas, Nevada and the development of the Desert Inn Hotel and Casino. The collection includes correspondence from Wilbur Clark to those he identified as important individuals including government officials and celebrities. It also includes materials related to Clark’s plan of building luxury apartments near the Desert Inn, and newspaper clippings and scrapbooks about the Clarks and the Desert Inn.

Celesta Lowe Papers (1943-1995) consist of clippings, published writings ("Echoes from the Archives" and "Southwestern Bookshelf" columns), correspondence, and photographs related to Southern Nevada

history. Also included are National League of American Pen Women and Pen Hens material.

Soroptimist International Henderson/Green Valley Chapter Records from 1980 to 2004 include meeting minutes, programs, photographs, conference materials, promotional material for various fund raisers, awards, and a gavel.

The Kathy Augustine Papers date from 1977 to 1997 and are comprised of the documents of Augustine's political career as an Assemblywoman and State Senator in Nevada. The collection includes political correspondence relating to State Senate Bills (SB) and Assembly Bills (AB), material from Augustine's Assembly campaign, and newsletters from Desert Express, Sage, and Sagehen. The collection also includes other correspondence related to Augustine's time in office, and social events.

The Ruthe Deskin Papers (1933-2004) document Deskin's career as a journalist and community activist in Nevada. The papers include Deskin's "Back and Forth" columns, newspaper articles about Deskin, awards and certificates, legal documents, correspondence, photographs, obituaries and memorials, convention programs from the Nevada Press Association, and biographical ephemera.

The Jack Leavitt Collection on Las Vegas Lands and Real Estate (1968-1981) contains real estate property indexes for Clark County, Nevada, as well as an aerial survey of the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. The thirty-one indexes include alphabetical lists of home owners, their addresses, and maps of urban and private land parcels focusing on the cities of Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada.
