The UNLV University Libraries Photographs of the Jewish Community of Southern Nevada (2015-2018) are comprised of digital images captured as part of the Southern Nevada Jewish Heritage Project. The photographs include members of the Southern Nevada Jewish community, synagogues Temple Beth Sholom (current and original site), Congregation Ner Tamid (including aerials), Chabad of Las Vegas, Temple Sinai, and Midbar Kodesh Temple.

This is part 1 of 6 finding aids for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Creative Services Records and represents 1970 to 1979. Generally, materials are transferred from UNLV Photo Services to UNLV Special Collections and Archives 5 years after they are created. This finding aid contains the photographic negatives and contact sheets produced by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas from 1970 to 1979 as an official record of the institution's development, activities, and community.

The William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration Photograph Collection (approximately 1980-2015) contains color photographic prints and slides of hotels and casinos located within and outside of Nevada, primarily focusing on Las Vegas, Nevada properties. Images depict hotel exteriors and interior scenes of casino gaming.

The Culinary Workers Union Local 226 Las Vegas, Nevada Photographs document various activities of the Culinary Union, from the 1950s to 2006, with the bulk of the material documenting the 1990s. Prominently featured in the collection are various strikes, pickets, marches, parades, rallies, and demonstrations from the late 1980s to early 2000s. A large portion of these photographs documents the Frontier Strike of the 1990s.

The Robert Beckmann Photographs contain photographic slides, prints, and negatives of the paintings, murals, and commercial projects of American artist Robert Beckmann from 1964 to 2009. The collection includes photographs of Beckmann's paintings and murals from around the United States, including works commissioned for casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada, banks, schools, and government buildings. Other photographs document Beckmann's research subjects, models, and art installations.

The Jamey Stillings Photographs (2009-2024) is primarily comprised of photographs taken by professional photographer, Jamey Stillings documenting various infrastructure projects in the region. The Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge project at the Hoover Dam depicts the construction of the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge from 2009 to 2012. The Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System project depicts aerial views of Ivanpah Solar in the Mojave Desert of California from 2010 to 2014.

The Howard Hughes Public Relations Photograph Collection depicts the activities of businessman Howard Hughes from 1930 to 1950. The photographs primarily depict aircraft flown by Hughes or designed by the Hughes Aircraft Company, including the XF-11 reconnaissance plane, the HK-1 Hercules (or "Spruce Goose"), and the Hughes H-1 Racer. The photographs also depict celebrations following Hughes's circumnavigation flight in New York City, New York and Chicago, Illinois in 1938.

[DEACCESSIONED] Collection is comprised of personal and community photos collected by Stan Armstrong dating from the 1940s to the 2000s. The collection also consists of photos of the historic Westside neighborhood of Las Vegas, Nevada and its African American community. Also included are promotional posters from Stan Armstrong's documentaries and memorial service programs of members of the African American Community.

The Stuart and Flora Mason Photographs (1940-1999) contain photographs of hotels, casinos, and other buildings constructed by Taylor International Corporation, which was owned by the Mason Family. The photographs depict the Aladdin, Venetian, Tropicana, Riviera, MGM Grand, and International hotels and casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada. The photographs also depict buildings in Miami and Coral Gables, Florida, and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Harvey's Hotel and Casino Postcard Collection (approximately 1940-1990) contains postcards primarily from Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada hotel and casinos. The remaining postcards depict casinos in other Nevada locations, other U.S. states, France, The Bahamas, and Puerto Rico. There are also a small number of non-casino postcards from areas around southern Nevada.
