The Underground House of Las Vegas Collection (1964-2004) consists of newspaper clippings, magazine articles, books, photographic prints, and digital images detailing the construction and history of Girard "Jerry" B. Henderson’s "Underground House," a Las Vegas underground dwelling completed in 1978.
This collection has been removed from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Libraries Special Collections and Archives' holdings by order of the Nevada Gaming Control Board. The collection was returned to the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Please contact special.collections@unlv.edu for further information.
The Fun One Bowling League Records (1987-1997) contain league schedules, membership documents, standing sheets, and other organizational records from the Fun One bowling league, an LGBTQ bowling league that was established in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1985. Fun One was the Las Vegas LGTBQ community's second bowling league.
The Linda Miller Papers (2008-2024) document Dr. Linda Miller's historic preservation work in Las Vegas, Nevada including her work portraying early Las Vegas resident, Helen J. Stewart, at historical events across Southern Nevada. The collection documents Miller's efforts to erect a statue of Helen Stewart at the Las Vegas, Nevada Old Mormon Fort, as well as her contributions to the programming for Sarah Winnemucca Day in 2018. The collection documents Miller's appearances as Helen J.
The Las Vegas Variety Club Records (1950-1996) consist of newspaper clippings and photographs that focus on the services the group provided to special needs children. Also included are several scrapbooks documenting the organization’s major activities in the 1950s and 1960s.
The Von Tobel Family Papers (1905-1997) consist of photographs, correspondence, and financial reports pertaining to the early Las Vegas Von Tobel family and their businesses, which they operated in Las Vegas, Nevada. The collection also contains newspaper clippings covering the life of Edward Von Tobel Sr. and some of the operational business records of the Von Tobel Hardware Store No. 301.
The Bill Campbell Costume Designs (1954-1978) are comprised of original costume design sketches created by designer Bill Campbell for a number of Donn Arden's stage productions, including Pzazz!, Hello America, and Hello Hollywood Hello that were staged in the Crystal Room at the Desert Inn in Las Vegas, Nevada during the 1960s and 1970s. The collection also contains some sketches for other revues held in Los Angeles, California and Reno, Nevada.
The Renee Lee Papers span from the 1950s to 2012 and document the life of singer and actress Renee Lee through photographs, her original music scores, newspaper clippings, and a mid-career resume. The collection also includes an alphabetized card catalog of the private performances Lee booked from 1998-2012.
The Rene de Haven Papers contain photographs, costume designs, promotional show materials, press clippings, music manuscripts and productio notes, and audio recordings of dancer and choreographer Rene de Haven from 1944 to 2011. Personal papers, prints, proof sheets, black-and-white and color photographs document de Haven's work in dancing and choreography in Las Vegas, Nevada and Los Angeles, California.
The Stand OUT for Equality Records (2008-2011) contain correspondence, lobbying materials, press kits, promotional materials, expense reports, meeting agendas and minutes, certificates, and notes pertaining to the 2009 and 2011 lobbying efforts by Stand OUT for Equality for gay and straight domestic partnership benefits and transgender rights held in Carson City, Nevada.
