Abstract

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Academic Council Records (1957-1984) document the meetings of UNLV's Academic Council, formerly known as the Academic Committee. Materials include four volumes of Academic Committee meeting minutes and nine volumes of Academic Council meeting minutes, agendas, correspondence, and announcements dealing with course schedules, tenure and promotions, budgets, and other administrative topics.

Abstract

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Physical Plant Planning and Development Committee Records (1958-1985) contain meeting minutes, correspondence, reports, and budgets from the UNLV Physical Plant Planning and Development Committee. There are also proposals, project descriptions, architectural floor plan drafts, and reports for the creation of various campus buildings including Tonopah Residence Complex, Performing Arts Center, Chemistry Building, Archie C. Grant Hall, and Maude Frazier Hall.

Abstract

The Task Force for a Just and Inclusive Campus Environment Records (1997-1999) contains self-published reports by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) organization, as well as inter-organizational correspondence, meeting agenda, and meeting minutes. These records contain materials used to study and raise awareness of equality issues at the UNLV campus.

Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN) Oral History Records

Abstract

The Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN) Oral History Records (1995-2015) are comprised of Dr. Joanne Goodwin's research, communication, and publicity relating to the Las Vegas Women Oral History Project. The records include correspondence, photographs of interview participants, news clippings, and working drafts of transcripts. The records also contain oral history interview documentation for projects in which WRIN and Joanne Goodwin provided assistance and consultation.

Educational Equity Resource Center Records

Abstract

The Educational Equity Resource Center (EERC) records contain material from workshops hosted by the EERC throughout Southern Nevada, especially Las Vegas, Nevada, between 1973 and 2000. The EERC aimed to provide teachers, students, and parents information on gender equity education, support, and training. Workshop materials include participant worksheets, surveys, brochures, instructional booklets, advertisements, correspondence, and evaluation forms. Workshop participants include K-12 students, postsecondary school students, educators, and parents.

Kristene Fisher Collection of UNLV Event Ephemera

Abstract

The collection materials are primarily comprised of various invitations and programs (2000-2018) to major events on UNLV's campus such as building dedications, UNLV's 50th anniversary events, convocations, open houses, and performances at Artemus W. Ham concert hall. Materials also include invitations to UNLV Foundation annual dinners and copies of Regents' Review, the publication for the Nevada System of Higher Education. The collection also includes clippings and communication regarding the passing of UNLV faculty members and retirements.

Abstract

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Foundation Records (1981-2013) primarily contain photographs, slides, negatives, and proof sheets from Foundation events, fundraisers, and projects. The collection also contains VHS copies of interviews and newscasts pertaining to the UNLV Foundation, annual dinner programs and invitations, and various publications created by the Foundation. The UNLV Foundation is located on the UNLV campus in Las Vegas, Nevada and is a nonprofit organization that seeks and manages gifts to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

UNLV UndocuNetwork Student Group Records

Abstract

The UNLV UndocuNetwork Student Group Records (2017) are comprised of postcards and fliers advertising events and workshops hosted by UNLV UndocuNetwork at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada. The records also include news stories and feature photography from the campus newspaper, UNLV Scarlet & Gray Free Press, about the student organization and their activities at UNLV.

University of Nevada, Las Vegas Solar Decathlon Records

Abstract

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Solar Decathlon Records (2013-2021) are comprised of records documenting the University of Nevada, Las Vegas's participation in the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Solar Decathlon collegiate competition. The collection includes records created by the 2013, 2017, and 2020 UNLV teams (Team Las Vegas) in designing and building their respective competition entries: DesertSol, Sinatra Living, and Mojave Bloom.
