The J. Ross Clark Scrapbook dates from approximately 1897 to 1972 and consists of newspaper clippings collected by his wife, Miriam Evans Clark. The clippings relate to professional events in the lives of J. Ross Clark and his brother, Senator William A. Clark. A small number of the clippings refer to births, marriages, and deaths in Miriam Evans and J. Ross Clark's families. Also included are documents written by J. Ross Clark's grand-niece, Dorothy Murdock Dunkley, that offer additional information about the Clark and associated families.

The John D. Dombrink Gaming Research Files (approximately 1951-1990) contain the research files of John D. Dombrink in preparation for his book The Last Resort: Success and Failure in Campaigns for Casinos, published in 1991. The collection consists of newspaper clippings, journal articles, and public reports on a variety of topics and issues related to gaming in the United States, including organized crime, commercial gaming, and regulatory practices and issues.

The Bob Parker Photograph Collection consists of twenty-seven black-and-white photographic prints showcasing the construction of the Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam) from approximately 1930 to 1942.

Oral history interview with Robert Maheu conducted by K. J. Evans on April 19, 1999 for the Las Vegas Review-Journal First 100 Oral History Project. In this interview, Maheu discusses Howard Hughes and attempts by Bill Gay and associates to take Hughes' business. Maheu then discusses his career in the FBI and CIA before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada. Finally, Maheu talks about working for Hughes.

Oral history interview with Leo Lewis conducted by Elizabeth Nelson Patrick on November 26, 1984 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. In this interview, Lewis discusses the creation of the College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Lewis talks about Jerome Vallen becoming the dean of the College of Hotel Administration and the overall growth of UNLV. Lewis describes his career as a casino executive and later, in 1967, as a professor of management at UNLV.

Oral history interview with Don Laughlin conducted by A. D. Hopkins on June 13, 1999 for the Las Vegas Review-Journal First 100 Oral History Project. In this interview, Laughlin discusses his early life in Minnesota, his start in gambling, and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1952. Laughlin describes how he started his business including the process of obtaining licenses and buying property. Lastly, Laughlin talks about gaming competition in Arizona, his children, and his business' expansion.

Oral history interview with James Cashman Jr. conducted by A. D. Hopkins on August 13, 1998 for the Las Vegas Review-Journal First 100 Oral History Project. In this interview, Cashman discusses his father, James Cashman Sr., moving to Las Vegas, Nevada from Searchlight, Nevada for more opportunities. Cashman goes on to talk about his childhood and his relationship with his father. Finally, Cashman describes his father working on the Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam).
