The Bob Hampton Photographs of Construction Projects in Southern Nevada depict various construction projects near Las Vegas, Nevada from 1954 to 1967. The photographs primarily depict the construction of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Other projects include buildings for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the Nevada Club, a hangar for Nellis Air Force Base, the Las Vegas Courthouse, the Chancellor Apartments in Las Vegas, and a highway interchange.

The Richard B. Taylor Papers (1920-1993) document Richard Taylor's career and interests as a longtime Las Vegas, Nevada businessman and local historian, including his work as an executive at the Hacienda Hotel and Casino. The materials also include maps, development plans, and local publications for the Nevada communities of Laughlin and Mount Charleston, as well as publicity and promotional materials for these projects. As an amateur historian, Taylor also collected information on Las Vegas, Laughlin, and Mount Charleston.

The Sidney R. Whitmore Photograph Album contains photographs dating from approximately 1920 that document the Colorado River and mining in El Dorado Canyon, Nevada.

The Mint Hotel Photograph Collection consists of photographic prints and postcards from approximately 1960 to 1980. The collection includes photographs of the Mint’s “Behind the Scenes” tour during which guests experienced casino operations, and photographs and postcards of the hotel itself.

The Howard Hughes Professional and Aeronautical Photographs contain black-and-white photographs of businessman and entrepreneur Howard Hughes and his companies from 1916 to 1997. The photographs primarily depict Hughes alongside his aircraft, including the XF-11 prototype reconnaissance plane and the HK-1 Hercules, better known as the "Spruce Goose" or "Flying Boat." The photographs also cover the companies owned by Hughes, including Hughes Tool Company, Hughes Aircraft Company, Hughes Electronics Corporation, and RKO Pictures.

The Paul May Photograph Collection (1969) consists of black-and-white and color photographic prints. The images primarily depict Nevada Assemblyman Paul May alongside Nevadan senators and congressmen, including Senator Paul Laxalt. Other images are portraits of May.

The Earl Rockwell Papers (1852-1978) consists of newspaper clippings, diaries, books, correspondence, and ephemera related to Las Vegas, Nevada pioneer Earl Rockwell. The collection documents Rockwell’s life in Las Vegas and Elmira, New York and also contains seven nineteenth-century diaries that belonged to Rockwell’s grandmother, Amanda Brees.
