Abstract
The Bob Hampton Photographs of Construction Projects in Southern Nevada depict various construction projects near Las Vegas, Nevada from 1954 to 1967. The photographs primarily depict the construction of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Other projects include buildings for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the Nevada Club, a hangar for Nellis Air Force Base, the Las Vegas Courthouse, the Chancellor Apartments in Las Vegas, and a highway interchange.

Biographical / Historical Note
Real estate developer and entrepreneur William Robert “Bob” Hampton was the mayor of Henderson, Nevada from 1965 to 1969. He also served as Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority. He also was part owner of Taylor Steel Company, which participated in several major construction projects in Southern Nevada, including the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
