Khan, Zia U., 1969-

Born in India and raised in Zambia, Africa, Zia U. Khan is a cardiologist, philanthropist, and AAPI advocate. Khan's father was one of three sons who were left fatherless at an early age when their father died and who were raised by their widowed mother. As a young boy Khan's father did odd jobs to help support the family and, with no birth certificate, made up a birthdate so he could go to school.

Robert N. Broadbent was born in 1925 in Ely, Nevada. He was a pharmacist and eventually became a politican. Broadbent was married in 1953 in Boulder City, Nevada. He rose to in the Republican party, starting as a city council member in Boulder City and eventually becoming a mayor and county commissioner. Broadbent passed away on August 09, 2003.

Uehling, Ed, 1940-

Edmund Uehling is a real estate investor, politician, and supporter of the Las Vegas, Nevada gay community. He born on May 15, 1940 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Uehling moved to Boulder City, Nevada in 1943 when the Bureau of Reclamation hired Uehling's father to work in Boulder City as a civil engineer. He received a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in public administration from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

Ronzone, Richard James, 1917-1989

Richard “Dick” J. Ronzone (1917-1989) was active in the local politics and civic affairs of Las Vegas, Nevada, serving as a Clark County Commissioner, a Nevada State Assemblyman, and a member of the University Board of Regents. He inherited and managed his family's retail store which dated back to the early 1900s. Ronzone also helped develop the Municipal Golf Course and was active in the Elks Lodge, Rotary Club, Veterans Of Foreign Wars, Reserve Officers Association, and the Boulder Dam Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Bunker, Lucile Whitehead, 1907-1988

Lucile Whitehead Bunker was born November 23, 1907 in Overton, Nevada. Her family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada when she was four years old, but moved back to Overton so that she could finish grade school before starting high school. After graduating from high school, Bunker worked at a law firm in research for a year so that she could attend the University of Nevada, Reno. She married her husband, Berkeley L. Bunker, on December 29, 1932. She moved around with him while he was involved with politics, even living in Washington, D.C. for a few years.
