The collection, dated 1941-1947, consists of loose-leaf notes from the daily journal of Arlin Rex Johnson (1898-1970), Budget and Planning Officer at the Coordinator of Information (COI) office in Washington, D.C. from September 2, 1941 to December 23, 1941, and a list of foreign visitors during his tenure as Assistant Director of Foreign Agricultural Relations at the United States Department of Agriculture from 1945-1947.

The Geological Society of America, Cordilleran Section Records contain materials from the annual April meeting in 1974 and a paper about lateral faulting in Southern Nevada written by Chester R. Longwell.

The collection consists of one spiral bound copy of galley notes for John Archer's book, "The Archer Method of Winning at Blackjack," published in 1973.

The UNLV Libraries Collection of Gaming Artifacts and Ephemera (approximately 1863-2012) is comprised of Las Vegas, Nevada casino gaming artifacts; games such as Pai Gow, Las Vegas themed board games, Piquet, and punchboards; and ephemera items about gaming. The collection contains postcards and newspaper clippings advertising for casinos in Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom, the Bahamas, France, and California.

The Cecil Leavitt Paper on the History of Bunkerville, Nevada, undated, consists of a term paper written by Leavitt for a history class at the College of Southern Utah, Cedar City, Utah.

The James W. Hulse collection (1973) consists of the original manuscript for his book on the history of Lincoln County, Nevada.

The Harlan Brown Papers (1943-1956) contain a mimeographed copy of the index to the Las Vegas City Charter (1943), a Chicago Tribune newspaper (1952 August 12) focusing on engineers and their achievements, and official drawings of lots and additions in the Greater Las Vegas housing development. The drawings were approved with Harlan Brown's signature of approval as a registered professional engineer in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Tom Hansen Collection on the Jubilee! stage show documents his work as choreographer from 1995 to 2012. The files include programs, set designs, lyrics, programs, badges, business cards, photographs, costume drawings, and audiovisual tapes of the Jubilee! auditions and rehearsals.

The Hank Kovell Papers (1945-2012) document his life as a publicity agent in Las Vegas, Nevada. The collection includes photographs, correspondence, publications, newspaper clippings, and a script written by Kovell titled, "The Visitor."

The Howard Schwartz Collection on Gaming documents the gaming industry in the United States from 1966 to 2010. The collection includes manuscripts, periodicals, newspaper articles, ephemera, profit and probability profiles and a report from the National Gambling Impact Study Commission.
