Revised Draft of Agreement and deed between the railroad companies and the Las Vegas Valley Water District for the sale of Las Vegas water facilities and lands

The City of Las Vegas was requesting to borrow six water meters to check their water use. The Las Vegas Land and Water co. did not have any, but Folger recommended purchasing them and then sending them on to Yermo when the city was done with them. Letter has three date stamps: "H.E.D. Nobody had brought up the issue of mineral rights during the negotiations for the water district purchase. To do so now would be a mistake. Even if oil was found on the property, the land's location would almost make it impossible to take advantage of.
