Nancy Cummings-Schmidt is a fourth-generation Nevadan who was born in Reno, Nevada and grew up in Las Vegas. She worked as a librarian with the Clark County Library District from 1969 to 1981 before leaving to become a library director in Yuma, Arizona. Cummings-Schmidt is retired as of 2017.

Helen Holmes was the star of the production, and the cameraman was R. Peck. The image was probably taken at the Union Pacific Railroad station in Las Vegas, Nevada. Filmed in February 1915.
