Description
Interview with Jerry Fox by Barbara Tabach on November 12, 2014. In this interview, Fox discusses his father's restaurant, Foxy's Delicatessen, which opened on the Las Vegas Strip in the 1950s, and his own business endeavors including the Tinder Box and an embroidery business.
Jerry Fox grew up in Los Angeles until his family moved to Las Vegas in February 1955, where his father opened Foxy's Delicatessen, the city's first Jewish deli. Jerry would go on to follow in his father's entrepreneurial footsteps, operating several ventures across different industries, including his own restaurant, Foxy Dog. Jerry sold Foxy Dog in 1975 after going through a divorce, the same year that Foxy's Deli closed.

This oral history includes memories of his rise to fame from youthful phenomenon to an over-thirty year Las Vegas career that began in 1981. The Joyce Mack Papers are mainly comprised of photographs and ephemera documenting Joyce Mack and her family from the 1970s to 2014. Photographs in the collection depict political and community events, the Mack family, and their interaction with politicians. An invitation, newspaper clipping, and transcript of a speech by Joyce Mack document various honors that were betstowed upon Joyce Mack and her husband, Jerome D. "Jerry" Mack.

Abstract
The UNLV University Libraries Photographs of the Jewish Community of Southern Nevada (2015-2018) are comprised of digital images captured as part of the Southern Nevada Jewish Heritage Project. The photographs include members of the Southern Nevada Jewish community, synagogues Temple Beth Sholom (current and original site), Congregation Ner Tamid (including aerials), Chabad of Las Vegas, Temple Sinai, and Midbar Kodesh Temple. There are also photographs of The Desert Torah Academy's Robert Cohen Educational Campus, the future site of Chabad of Green Valley, the Holocaust Resource Center, Manpower Las Vegas’s 50th anniversary celebration, and the House of Straus.

Hobert D. Blair was born February 07, 1900 in Boreing, Kentucky to Elmer and Ida Blair. Blair moved to Idaho in 1910 before moving to Nevada in 1931 to work as an auto mechanic. He passed away January 18, 1993.
