The UNLV Libraries Collection of the Claridge Hotel Promotional and Press Materials includes press releases, promotional materials, an employee manual, and newspaper and magazine clippings for the Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, dating from 1981 to 2002.

The UNLV Libraries Collection of International Lottery & Totalizator Systems, Inc. Financial Reports and Press Materials contains financial reports, press kits, press releases, and a newspaper clipping for International Lottery & Totalizator Systems Inc. in Vista, California. The records date from 1992 to 1993.

The UNLV Libraries Collection of Thunderbird Hotel and Casino Promotional and Publicity Materials (approximately 1964-1973) consist of news releases, event programs, ephemera, and publicity materials for the Thunderbird Hotel and Casino.

The Howard Cannon Papers (1958-1988) contain the personal, administrative, and legislative papers of Howard W. Cannon, U.S. Senator from Nevada between 1959 to 1983. The collection primarily pertains to Cannon's time in office from the 86th Congress in 1959 to the 97th Congress in 1983. Materials include correspondence, speech transcripts and supporting research material, press releases, reports, memoranda, newspaper and magazine clippings, and Senate voting records. The collection also includes constituent correspondence and casework related to legislative issues such as foreign relations, social security, veterans, tax reform, labor, aviation, nuclear testing and waste, civil rights, and environmental protection.

The General Land Office Survey Books (approximately 1881-1919) consist of nine bound volumes of survey maps originally conducted in 1881 by the General Land Office (which later became the U.S. Bureau of Land Management). The primary information shown on the maps is section, township, and range numbers, as well as designation and dimenstions of government lots. The books in this collection cover townships 13 through 32, which includes the majority of Clark County. The secondary information shown on the maps is topographical and geographical in nature, showing mountains, washes, rivers, major wagon roads, and types of vegetation. The hachure lines along section lines indicate mountains and in all probability those lines were not actually walked. Patent application lists are attached to some maps, which also have property owner's name and address. If the patent was granted, the patent number is also shown. If the patent application nwas withdrawn or forfeited, that notation was also noted.
