The team was an affiliate of the San Diego Padres from 1983 to 2000, and in 2001 the name changed to the Las Vegas 51s. The team was then affiliated with the Los Angeles Dodgers (2001-2008), the Toronto Blue Jays (2009-2012), and the New York Mets (2013-2018). Now the Las Vegas Aviators, the team is affliated with the Oakland A's (2019-present).
