The collection is comprised of drawings (1950-1990) completed by American architect Martin Stern and/or his architectural firm, Martin Stern Jr., AIA Architect and Associates, and contains 400 cubic feet of materials including 710 drawings from over 300 different projects involving over 100 buildings. Stern’s work focused on the resort centers of Las Vegas, Nevada; Reno, Nevada; Lake Tahoe, Stateline, Nevada; and Atlantic City, New Jersey. The materials feature hand-drawn architectural drawings, ranging from pencil and ink on tracing paper preliminary sketches to ink on Mylar (TM) construction documents, and a number of artist’s renderings, used for presentations and promotional materials. The drawings also contain work from a number of consultants, engineers, and other architects who collaborated on the development of the various projects. The collection includes architectural drawings for: hotels, casinos, integrated casino resorts, office towers, multi-family residential developments, and custom single-family homes.

The Jackie Brett Collection on Las Vegas, Nevada Entertainment (1977-1996) consists of writings by Jackie Brett and publications and clippings about Las Vegas, Nevada entertainment and tourism. Brett worked for the Nevada Commission on Tourism and promoted southern Nevada through her column "Brett's Vegas View." She wrote about production shows, concerts, special performances, and events as well as the overall development of Las Vegas tourist industry in the 1980s and 1990s.

The Loretta Bowman Collection of Clark County Clerk Records (1912-1997) contain documents collected by Clark County Clerk Loretta Bowman during her time in office. Materials include court proceedings, signed agreements and contracts, appointments to public offices and related correspondence, denials of cases involving battery on police officers, affidavits for birth certificates, and criminal peace bonds. The majority of the materials are oaths of office and the related surety bonds for government officials.

The Jewish Family Service Agency (JFSA) records (1954, 1979-1993) contain organizational records, minutes, committee information, planning documents, newspaper clippings, newsletters, photographs, and volunteer information collected by Bea Levinson. There are also two folders of material about Bea Levinson, who was chairperson of the JFSA Long Range Planning Committee.

Hazel Baker Denton Papers (1907-1957) contain correspondence, family artifacts, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, and family biographical information. Included are journals that chronicle the years Denton served as an Assemblywoman for the Nevada State Legislature and a copy of her book, Ironing Day, her newspaper columns, and speeches.

The Freda Klein Papers (1967-1997) include a detailed biography and personal reflection penned by Klein, as well as a photocopied scrapbook. The scrapbook is comprised of correspondence and newspaper clippings that detail her career with the State of Nevada Employment Security Department and volunteer work with the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, Private Industry Council, and Soroptimist International of Henderson, Nevada.

The Kerin Scianna Rodgers Papers (1974-1986) consist of article clippings, memorandums, Democratic voting advertisements, election plans, 1986 list of primary candidates, and personal notes. Also included are district court cases, correspondence, and election day instructions.

The Nancy Houssels Collection on the Nevada Dance Theatre (1972-1997) consists of programs, posters, photographs, newsletters, magazine articles, and newspaper clippings related to the Nevada Dance Theatre (now Nevada Ballet Theatre) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nancy Houssels co-founded the Nevada Dance Theatre in 1972 with Vassili Sulich.
