Oral history interview with Barbara Sheehan conducted by Elaine Marzola on April 23, 2005 for the UNLV Women's Studies Veteran Oral History Project. In this interview, Sheehan describes her experience in the Unites States Navy through the 1950s to 1970s. Sheehan also discusses her experience as a woman in the military, specifically the stigmas that women sailors encounter. Later, Sheehan recalls memorable moments she experienced during her service.

Oral history interview with Alberta Shearin conducted by Deanne Lahr on March 12, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Shearin discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada after her husband was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in 1943. Oral history interview with John R. Shown conducted by Robert E. Pilgreen on March 18, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Shown discusses his personal history living in Las Vegas, Nevada since 1953. Shown then describes casinos that were built during his lifetime, and recalls the development of the Las Vegas Strip. Shown then discusses gambling, and the effect that gambling has on the Las Vegas economy.

Oral history interview with Marienne Shaver conducted by her granddaughter, Alice Penwell, on March 21, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Shaver describes visiting and moving to Reno, Nevada from Michigan and later staying in Nevada to teach. Shaver talks about moving to Las Vegas, Nevada and being involved in the local girl scouts organization, church, and women's club. Lastly, Shaver discusses the growth of Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Alden Sharp conducted by Alex Ilic on March 01, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Sharp discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1938 for employment opportunities. Sharp also discusses his career as a pharmacist as well as changes in the city. Lastly, Sharp discusses atomic testing.

Oral history interview with Allen Sharpe conducted by Patricia Holland on May 10, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Sharpe discusses arriving in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1929 and moving into one of the first homes in North Las Vegas. He then talks about the expansion of West Las Vegas and the increase of casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. Lastly, Sharpe discusses his job as a painter and recalls experiences in the painting business.

Oral history interview with Marie Schamaun conducted by Elie Elias on February 21, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Schamaun discusses her personal history and the history of Las Vegas, Nevada. Schamaun discusses being a member of the first Methodist church in Las Vegas and her involvement with an auxiliary of the Optimist Club which helped young girls. Schamaun describes how Las Vegas and its casinos have changed since she first moved to the city in 1947, and how the city has changed socially.

Oral history interview with Jim Shaffer conducted by Gary L. Mynatt on June 20, 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Shaffer discusses living in Las Vegas, Nevada and his career in banking. Shaffer describes the positions he has held in the banking industry, where he has lived in Las Vegas, his family life, and his affiliations with different social and professional organizations.

In this interview, Serviss discusses his personal history in Missouri and Las Vegas, Nevada. Serviss describes going to clubs and meeting celebrities who were in Missouri for the filming of the movie Jesse James. Serviss also describes his time working for Harry S. Truman's political campaign to become Senator for the state of Missouri.
