I agree.ADDENDUM TO CODE OF STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS October 1, 1958 Revisions as follows to the Code of Standard Specifications for Public Improvement as adopted by Ordinance No. 621 are effective as of this date: Add to SECTION 57 - Page 152 - Article 11K11. Seal Coat and chips. SEAL COAT AND CHIPS -A- GENERAL The bituminous seal coat covered by this section of the specifications shall consist of an application of bituminous material and mineral aggregate on a previously prepared wearing course. -B- MATERIAIS The materials used shall conform to Section 21 F of this specification. -C- WEATHER LIMITATIONS The seal coat shall be applied only when the existing surface is dry, and when the weather is not rainy. It shall not be applied when the roadway surface temperature is below sixty (60) degrees F., unless otherwise directed by the Engineer. -D- PREPARATION OF SURFACE Immediately before applying the seal coat, all loose material, dirt, clay or other objectionable material shall be removed from the surface to be sealed, with a power broom or blower supplemented with hand brooms, as directed by the Engineer. After the cleaning operation, and prior to the application of the prime coat, an inspection of the area to be coated will be made by the Engineer to determine its fitness to receive the bituminous sealing material.
