NOTICE TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT I — — 1 — — " y — Concerning Application Contracts must reach the State Land Office NOT LATER THAN—_S_E P__9.1904: STATE,, LAND OFJEICE Carson City, Nevada,____ J11N. _!? _!•-— 9— SIR: Section 10 of an Act of the Legislature of the State of entitled “An Act to provide for the selection a,nd sale of lands that have been or may hereafter be granted by the United States to the State of Nevada,” approved March 12, 1885, as amended March 11,1889, reads as follows: S e c t io n 10. The State Land Register shall, with reasonable dispatch, cause proper notices to be prepared, requiring the applicant, or his or her agent or attorney, to make full payment, or enter into contract, in the applicant’s name, with the State Land Register, as provided in section eight of this Act, for the purchase of the land applied for by said applicant, and shall inclose with such notice duly prepared contracts, in duplicate, for the applicant to sign, and shall address the same to such applicant, or his or her agent or attorney, by mail in registered letter, and the Register shall file the postoffice receipts in his office. If, at the expiration of ninety days from the date of mailing of such notices and contracts in duplicate, the person so notified, or his or her legal representative, shall fail to make the required full payment, or to sign and return to the Register such contracts, he or she shall forfeit his or her right to complete the purchase of such land, and the title of the State to such land shall rest as fully in the State as though it had never been applied for, and shall be subject to sale to any person, including the person so forfeiting such land on previous application. Any and all sums of money deposited as partial payments on lands so forfeited shall immediately and unconditionally become the property of the. State. In accordance with the above provisions duplicate Contract papers are herewith inclosed, which must be signed by the applicant, or his or her representative, and received at this office not later than................... SEP 9 - 1904......................................... I f you prefer to procure a. patent, full payment, in the sum of ...... , must be received by the State within the time above specified. Failure to comply with one or the other of the above requirements will FORFEIT to the State your right to purchase by virtue of said application, together with all moneys heretofore deposited on account of the lands described therein, and of these matter's you are hereby duly and legally notified. TfCgr3 Applicant’s name must be signed on the line designated therefor by the applicant personally, or his or her representative, whose signature must appear on the line beneath. Do not date the Contract papers. Sign both and return them to the State Land Office. When properly executed one copy of Contract will be returned to applicant or agent, as directed.
