Mathew became her father and was the one to raise her to adulthood. She had one younger brother, Eric Mathew Larsen. She married Brent Jay Griffis Sr. on 5 September 1961/1962 in Boulder City, Clark, Nevada. They are the parents of Brent Jay Griffis, Salt Lake City, Utah and Shannon (Jack) Russell, Roosevelt, Utah
