The only child of Leon Harris and Margaret Theresa Doto Harris. Shortly after her birth, her mother was married to Mathew Eric Larsen. Mathew became her father and was the one to raise her to adulthood. She had one younger brother, Eric Mathew Larsen. She married Brent Jay Griffis Sr. on 5 September 1961/1962 in Boulder City, Clark, Nevada. They are the parents of Brent Jay Griffis, Salt Lake City, Utah and Shannon (Jack) Russell, Roosevelt, Utah
