Frontier Girl Scouts Records

Abstract

The collection consists of records of the Frontier Girl Scouts Council (FGSC) dating from 1944 until 1999. The majority of the collection dates from 1990 to 1999. It contains annual reports and publications of the FGSC, committee minutes and agenda, troop financial records, membership data, and leader training records. It also includes correspondence and publications of the Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA).

Blanchard, Lucius, 1942-

Lucius Blanchard grew up in Ahoskie, North Carolina, and attended the University of North Carolina Medical School at Chapel Hill. After acquiring his medical degree, he joined the military for two years and upon leaving became chief resident for the University of Louisville. While there, he took dermatology training and cancer surgery training in the University of Wisconsin allowing him to specialize in skin cancer surgery.

Description

Bridge across the Colorado River at Yuma. Photo was taken from California side of the river from the top of School Hill. The train on the draw bridge was stopped at the Yuma station, a typical wooden building with a Restaurant at the front.
