Abstract

The Nevada Division of State Parks Records consist of materials produced or collected between 1863 and 1978 by the Nevada Division of State Parks. The collection includes materials recovered at Spring Mountain Ranch belonging to the Kiel, George, and Wilson families. The majority of the collection consists of administrative records and correspondence from the Nevada Division of State Parks. It also contains a photograph album of images taken during excavation efforts at the Pueblo Grande de Nevada archaeological site.

Twenty one film transparencies from a trip throughout Nevada by the Nevada Federation of Women's Clubs to testify on child abuse prevention legislation.The trip included a visit to the ghost town of Rhyolite, Nevada, and Blanche Zucker and Paula Mendenhall visiting a children's library.

Murphy, Big Ed, 1914-1965

Born in 1914 in Buckhorn, Nevada with two siblings.

Murphy was a miner primarily in Silver Peak, Nevada.

He boxed against former Heavyweight World Champion, Max Baer, in 1939 and lost by Knock Out in the first round.
