The Mavis Eggle "Books as They Were Bought" collection provides a broad overview of printed material from the 1780s through 1949. Gathered by book collector Mavis Eggle, the collection serves as a social history of books, newspapers, and ephemera. The Gladys Boggs Marshall Papers consist of various artistic works created by Gladys Boggs Marshall, written from 1907 to 1974. The papers include several of her poems, a manuscript draft of an unfinished paper "History and Story of Las Vegas," a scrapbook of family photographs, sheet music, and newspaper clippings.

Ford, Jean, 1929-1998
Nevada politician and women's advocate Imogene "Jean" Young was born in Miami, Oklahoma, on December 28, 1929, to Daisy Adelphia (Flook) and Clarence Nathan Young. She had one brother, Byron Young. Her family moved to Joplin, Missouri, where she attended kindergarten through high school. In 1951 she graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a B.A. in Sociology. After graduation she worked as a recreational therapist for the American Red Cross in military hospitals until 1955.

Collection is comprised of materials dating from approximately 1971 to 1996 about the Las Vegas Clark County Library District. Collection materials also include Charles Hunsberger's subject files from when he was library director of LVCCLD. The collection includes annual financial reports, clippings about the library district, photographs, master plan documents for Nevada libraries, and staff newsletters. In addition, the collection also includes materials documenting Hunsberger's efforts to secure a $22.2 million library bond in 1985.
