The Larry A. Strate Faculty Papers (approximately 1985-2023) are comprised primarily of scholarly articles and papers from the Pacific Southwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business annual conferences written by Strate during his time as a business law professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Materials also include personal memoir written by Strate about his life.

Description

Bar inside the Stardust with bartenders behind the counter and two people, possibly bar patrons or servers, stand on the other side. To the right, it looks like the Keno area of the casino (see Image 0024 pho024182). A row of small bar tables and chairs line the left wall that has an intricate design. The bar sits in the center of the room and has many black and green barstools around the counter. The color photograph was taken before the casino was renovated in the mid 1970s. Oral history interview with Amber Allan conducted by David Schwartz on December 21, 2016 for the Slot Operations Oral History Project. Allan discusses the kinds of disputes that are handled in certain supervisory positions within the gaming industry. She also discusses the topic of hold percentage as it relates to slot and video poker players. Allan then talks about free slot play and the concept of ticket-in, ticket-out.
