Biographical / Historical Note

Larry Allen Strate was born on May 18, 1942 in Montana. In 1964, Strate received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Montana. He obtained a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in 1976 and subsequently received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Gonzaga Law School in 1979. In 1981, Strate began teaching business law classes at UNLV in the College of Business and Economics as an assistant professor. Larry Strate retired in 2005 and returned to Hamilton, Montana. As of 2020, Larry Strate is an active member of the Montana State Historical Society.
