Scope and Contents

The Administration Series of the Planned Parenthood of Southern Nevada (PPSN) from 1984 through 1995 consists of four Sub-Series. The General Administration Sub-Series contains material related to the internal administration and structure of the organization, mainly reports, strategic plans, and statistics. The Grants and Fund-raising Sub-Series was left in the order it was received. It contains materials pertaining to fund-raising activities such as fund-raising guides, ideas, and resources. Materials relating to direct mail activities were also included in this Sub-Series as part of fund-raising efforts. There are several folders of sample direct mail materials from Planned Parenthood organizations throughout the country as well as from other organizations and several local mailing lists that were used to develop PPSN's mailing database. There is a large volume of material pertaining to grants available to PPSN. The Staff and Speakers Sub-Series includes materials about community involvement in PPSN programs by clergy and volunteer speakers. Staff training and evaluation materials are also included in this Sub-Series.

Description

Clarence Telford watering horses from well halfway between Pahrump and Shoshone on old road. He met the train at Shoshone to take his wife, Clare, and sons, Bruce and George, to the Ranch to live from April 1916 to November 1917. Their home was in Ramona, California.
