Oral history interview with Rabbi Felipé Goodman conducted by Barbara Tabach and Monserrath Hernandez on April 01, 2019 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. In this interview, Goodman discusses his upbringing in Mexico City, Mexico and growing up in the Jewish neighborhood of Polanco. He recalls trips to the United States, differences between Mexican Judaism and American Judaism, and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1998. Later, Goodman talks about being Rabbi at Temple Beth Sholom, his connection to the Latinx community, and his story of becoming a United States citizen. Lastly, Goodman discusses his observations of anti-Semitism and attending the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) Policy Conference in 2019.

Oral history interview with Alex X. Porter conducted by Claytee D. White on April 16, 2022 for the African Americans in Las Vegas: A Collaborative Oral History Project. In this interview, Porter mainly discusses his membership of and devout role in the Nation of Islam. He discusses how he became involved with the religion after trying to enact change in the Black community through the NAACP. He discusses how his stance on education sets him apart from the majority of the Black community; he believes that a college degree is not necessary to teach intellectual topics to young people. Porter is active in the Las Vegas Black community as either a member or supporter of the Minister's Alliance, Shepherd's Breakfast, NAACP, Black Lives Matter, and the Nation of Islam.

Mustafa Richards was born December 24, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Murray High School located in Detroit. Although he was accepted to Wayne State University, Richards opted out of attending college and started his journey towards his study of multiple religions.

Lori provides a wonderful narrative of her Judaism, her love of teaching children and her devotion to family and music. She talks about growing up in Las Vegas and becoming a bat mitzvah, a rarity for girls in 1973. Throughout her life, including the period where she moved around with her Air Force husband, she sought Jewish connections to help her feel at home no matter where she was.
