The Denny Lynch Photograph Collection (approximately 1900-1990) contains photographic prints and negatives of the Lynch family and their homes in Pahrump Valley and near Blue Diamond, Nevada. The photographs also depict locations and people throughout Nevada, primarily in Pahrump and Amargosa with a focus between approximately 1970 and 1990. Other photographs include local, state, and federal politicians in Nevada and Washington, D.C. Most of these photographs were collected by Denny Lynch for his newspaper, the Pahrump Tribune.
Archival Collection
These files focus on Benny Binion and his family, primarily Ted and Jack. Other clippings deal with general operations of the Horseshoe Casino, including news items on new promotions introduced at the Horseshoe such as the stagecoach, bingo room and slot tournaments. In addition there is a significant file on Eric and Jane Drache, primarily Eric as he was former director of the WSOP and co-managed the Ten Deuce Poker Room at the Silverbird Casino with Doyle Brunson. There are also three albums containing clippings from 1986 and 1987; which chronicle the newspaper coverage of WSOP events and personalities.
Archival Component
The Beckley Family Papers date from 1920 to 1961 and briefly document the lives of the Beckley family, who were pioneers in early Las Vegas, Nevada. The collection contains family correspondence and newspaper clippings mentioning the family members.
