Roundtable oral history interview with members of the Las Vegas Media Group conducted by Lisa Gioia-Acres on May 26, 2009 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. Interviewees include Frank Mitrani, Dick Taylor, Rich Freeland, Don Payne, and John Ellem. Each participant identifies themselves and explains how and why they became members of the Las Vegas Media Group. They discuss the history of the group, how it came together, where they decided to meet, who qualified to join, and then talk about earlier members lost to death or departure. The remainder of the interview is various anecdotes and stories told by the participants.

The Chester Longwell Photograph Collection consists of 608 black-and-white photographic prints dating from approximately 1910 to 1930. The images primarily depict the Longwell family's excursions in the Southern Nevada region, primarily to Mount Charleston, Nevada. Also included are images of Southern Nevada mines and mining towns, as well as Pubelo Grande de Nevada, the Lost City. The remaining images depict geological formations and features, as well as forestry and nature scenes in Nevada and Arizona.

Oral history interview with William McLeod conducted by Valerie McLeod on March 16, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. McLeod begins by speaking about his career as a contractor, the growth of Las Vegas in the 1960s and the city’s population. Moreover, he speaks about recreational activities such as riding motorcycles and exploring mines around Nevada. McLeod also spends time going over Indian reservations around Nevada and neighboring states, the Lost City in Nevada, boomtowns and ghost towns. Lastly, McLeod talks about the history of water and springs in the state of Nevada, what he would consider to be the Old Ranch and the stagecoaches that passed through Gold Point, Nevada.
