Carol Terry's "Germans in Las Vegas" Oral History Project (2007) contain the oral histories conducted by Terry while researching for a chapter on Germans in Las Vegas, Nevada for The Peoples of Las Vegas book. Terry interviewed over 60 individuals and the collection contains the printed transcripts and audiocassettes from each interview.

Clips from an interview with Ruthe where he favors the Strip route, but doesn't want to get involved with details about funding and planning. Stalled resort construction and a future demolition project cluster along Las Vegas Boulevard generally between Desert Inn and Sahara. Construction on the Fountainbleau (tall blue building) ceased in 2009, while Boyd Gaming's Echelon Project stopped construction on former Stardust site back in 2008. That project was revived as the Resorts World Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Visitors and Convention Authority has scheduled the demolition of the Riviera Hotel and Casino for in summer 2016 to make way for a convention center expansion.
