Materials contain nationally circulating gaming newsletters, reports, booklets, essays, and magazines (1960-2008) collected and/or created by Gary W. Royer. The materials primarily consist of gaming newsletters that cover topics such as finance, regional gaming, and the national gaming industry in general. Also included are reports written by gaming researchers and analysts that cover topics such as problem gaming, gaming regulation, and finance.
Archival Component
The Syphus-Bunker Papers date from 1891 to 1994, with the majority of the collection consisting of correspondence between Mary Etta Syphus and John Mathieson Bunker from 1891 to 1895. The collection also contains correspondence from friends and relatives, and documentation related to Mary Etta Syphus' attendance at Brigham Young Academy Church Normal Training School. Other materials include family history information and two color photographs of family homes. The collection also includes typed transcripts of the correspondence.
Archival Collection
Dr. Neal J. Smatresk was appointed president of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on Aug. 6, 2009. Under his direction, UNLV has hit a number of milestones and academic achievements, positioning the university as a leader in the dynamic Intermountain West.
