Sidney, Robert, 1909-2008

Robert Sidney was born on October 9, 1909 in New York, New York. Sidney made his acting debut on the set of The Good Earth at the age of 15. He later attened New York University (NYU), and while attending took on summer stock theater roles. Sidney made his Broadway debut in On Your Toes in 1936. He later choreographed musical shows while in the United States Army.

Biggs, Douglas

Walter Douglass Biggs was born in Missouri in 1903, the eldest child of Walter and Lucile Biggs. By 1924, the family was living in Los Angeles, where Douglas found work as a film editor, working with director Lewis Milestone. In 1927, Biggs was credited as editor on his first film, Two Arabian Knights, and continued to serve as editor or editorial advisor for Howard Hughes and the Caddo Company through 1932. He later worked for the MGM and RKO studios, editing twenty-two films before his death in 1968.

Adorée, Renée, 1898-1933

French born silent film star Renée Adorée was boen in Lille, France on September 30, 1898 to Victorine Lamarr and Jean De La Fonte as Jeanne de la Fonte. She began working in a circus at the age of 5, and eventually she went on to become a dancer. She arrived in Hollywood, California in 1920, and soon began acting. She starred in 45 films, including Howard Hughes' The Mating Call (1928).
