    107 ORDINANCE No. 335 An ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL SECTION 11 OF ORDINANCE No. 325 OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS ENTITLED, ' AN ORDIN- ANCE TO PROHIBIT GAMING AND THE OPERATION OF SLOT MACHINES IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS WITHOUT FIRST OBTAINING A LICENSE THERE­FORE; REGULATING THE SAME: FIXING THE AMOUNT OF LICENSE; PROVIDING THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF; AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NOS. 77, 82, 88, 103, 116, 165, 245, 271, 287 and 319 AND ALL ORDIN­ANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO'," having been read to the Board by title at the July 7 meeting and referred to a committee composed of Commissioners Baskin and Moore for recommendation at this meeting, which said committee reported favorably on the proposed ordinance. Thereafter said ordinance was read in full to the Board and upon motion of Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The ordin­ance was adopted on its first reading. ORDINANCE No. 336 An ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CURB LINES AND FIXING THE LOCATION OF CURBS OVER AND ALONG NORTH MAIN STREET FROM CARSON AVENUE TO A POINT INSTANT APPROXIMATELY 237 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF BONANZA ROAD, IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS; ESTABLISHING THE OFFICIAL GRADES OF THE STREET AND CURBS IN NORTH MAIN STREET AND BONANZA ROAD, ACCORDING TO THE PLANS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS OF THE STATE OF NEVADA; AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, " was read by title and re­ferred to Commissioners Moore and Whipple for recommendation at the next regular meeting. VETERAN'S SERVICE Commissioner Baskin moved that the request of the Veteran's Service COORDINATING COMMITTEE Coordinating Committee for space in the City Hall for offices be Request for Office referred to the City Manager for handling. Space Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. POLICE STATION Commissioner Whipple moved that the City Manager be authorized Yard Work to proceed on the Police Station yard work on a forced account basis and waive purchase procedure. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the follow­ing vote; Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. C. B. BAGNALL Commissioner Whipple moved that the claim of C. B. Bagnall in Claim the sum of $8,073.20 be approved when satisfactory to the Com- troller and the City Manager. Thereafter the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to sign the warrant. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioner Baskin, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. VETERAN'S TRAINING Commissioner Clark moved that the City Manager's request to est­ablish on-the-job-training for non-disabled veterans be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. CONDEMNATION- Commissioner Baskin moved that the City Attorney be directed to Peter Piccoli & Henry commence condemnation proceedings against Peter Piccoli whose Kelly Property property is located at 227 North 1st Street and Henry Kelly whose property is located at 207 North 1st Street, because of the unsafe and unsanitary conditions of these locations. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. AGREEMENT — Re: Commissioner Whipple moved that that certain agreement between the Street Construction City of Las Vegas, Nevada and the State of Nevada acting by and Main Street through its Department of Highways heretofore submitted to the Board of city Commissioners which covers construction of a por- tion of Main Street from Carson Street to a point near Bonanza Road and a portion of Bonanza Road from a point near Main Street to 5th Street, be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk author­ized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
