Nasser, Stephen, 1931-

Author, speaker, and Holocaust survivor Stephen Nasser was born in 1931 in Hungary. As a child he was known as Pista, which translates to Stephen in English. He and his family were forced into a ghetto in 1943. They were transported to Auschwitz-Birkenau shortly after, where Nasser witnessed the murder of several relatives. He was liberated from a death train on April 30, 1945 by General Patton’s Third Army.

Royer (1945-) is a Reno, Nevada based Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who served as an auditing agent, supervisor of internal control for the Nevada Gaming Control Board, and President of the Casino Control Corporation. In the 1970s and 1980s, Royer worked with the Nevada Gaming Control Board as an auditing agent and in a supervisory position within the Audit Division.

Steele, Judith Dee "Judi", 1943-

Judith Dee "Judi" Steele, née Abrams, is the president and CEO of the Public Education Foundation in Clark County, Nevada. Born November 14, 1943 in New York City, Steele began her career teaching elementary and middle school in New York and Rhode Island. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1969 and received her Master of Education degree in secondary and adult education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Steele held numerous positions within the Clark County School District (CCSD), including Director of Special Education Programs and Services.

Sidney, Robert, 1909-2008

Robert Sidney was born on October 9, 1909 in New York, New York. Sidney made his acting debut on the set of The Good Earth at the age of 15. He later attened New York University (NYU), and while attending took on summer stock theater roles. Sidney made his Broadway debut in On Your Toes in 1936. He later choreographed musical shows while in the United States Army.

Taken from Variety article found here: "Len Weissman, a Hollywood publicist, photographer and advertising executive, died Saturday following a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease at his home in Honolulu. He was 83. In the 1930s and ’40s, Weissman and his brother Art (who died in 1995) were freelance fanzine photographers who covered such star nightclub hangouts as Ciro’s, the Mocambo, the Moulin Rouge and the Coconut Grove in pursuit of candid celebrity shots.

Ruth D'Hondt was born and reared in Las Vegas, Nevada, living on Jackson Street where her family owned Mattie's Cafe. The restaurant provided not just great food but employment for D’hondt and her five brothers and sisters. In 1959, the family moved to Berkley Square.

Fernald, Charles Nur, 1939-

Dancer Charles Nur Fernald first came to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1963 to perform for five weeks in the Kay Starr Show at the Sahara Hotel and again in 1964 working with Donn Arden for three months at the Desert Inn Hotel. Born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1939, Fernald moved several times to various places in Arizona and southern California with his parents, Charles Knox Fernald and Marguerite Marie Higgins Fernald, and half-siblings before settling in Hollywood, California, where he remained (except for his short stints in Las Vegas) from 1961 to 1967.

George, Joseph Mathias, 1913-

Joseph George, was born, raised, and educated through high school in Sudlersville, Maryland. He describes his college career at the University of Pennsylvania and earning his MD degree at University of Maryland in Baltimore. There were only 15 students in his high school class and 114 in his medical class.
