Graglia, John, 1907-
The Graglia Family was one of the first non-indigenous families to move to Las Vegas, Nevada at the
beginning of the twentieth century. Joseph and Frances Graglia moved to Canada from Italy, and then
made their way to the United States in 1890. They settled in Southern Nevada sometime before 1913.
Parish records at Las Vegas’s first Catholic church, St. Joan of Arc, document their church activities.

Hubbard, Boyd, Jr., 1912-1982
"Boyd Hubbard Jr. was born in Adair, Iowa in 1912. His father practiced dentistry in Adair for more than 40 years, retiring to Hollywood, Calif., in 1936. The doctor passed away in 1958 at age 68 and the general's mother a year later.

While practicing the four-plane diamond loop, the formation impacted the ground at high speed, instantly killing all four pilots: Major Norman L. Tredwell, Glenn, 1945-
Glenn Victory Tredwell was born on VE Day, May 8, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA. He grew up in a close family in the Philadelphia area and attended Temple University. He later graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in landscape architecture and had a two decade long career in landscaping in Florida.
Glenn can trace his Jewish roots to generations of Russians on his father’s side and to Germany on his mother’s side. He recalls working and learning about the family wholesale produce business—his grandfather owned Christmas tree farms and potato farms.

Knop, Siegfried
"Siegfried (Siggy) Knop, NWS, studied fine arts and motion picture arts at Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles and taught architectural illustration for twelve years. His own work in the field of fine arts has been exhibited in de Young Museum in San Francisco and the Pasadena Art Museum. In 1951, while still a student, Mr. Knop was accepted into the National Watercolor Society. He remains an active member today.

Fogliani, Jack, 1900-1987
John G. (Jack) Fogliani, the eldest son of Lewis and Ceadora Fogliani, was born August 25, 1900 in Pioche, Nevada. Fogliani served as a Nevada Assemblyman for Lincoln County, Nevada from 1935 to 1936, and as a warden for the Nevada State Prison from 1959 to 1967 until he was fired by Governor Paul Laxalt following a prison break. Blood, Leonard T., 1894-1962
District Deputy Labor Commissioner Leonard Blood worked for the Las Vegas Labor Commission, hiring employees for the construction of the Boulder (later renamed Hoover) Dam from 1931 to 1938 in Nevada. Blood, born on November 7, 1894, came to Nevada from Lincoln, Nebraska with his parents, William Blood, a train conductor and his mother, Carrie Blood, a nurse. During Blood's time as the District Deputy Labor Commissioner, it was his responsibility to hire employees for the construction of the Boulder Dam.

An advocate for compulsive gambling treatment, Dr. Rena Nora (1940-2008) worked for thirty years in the field of psychiatry. She held professional positions in New Jersey and Nevada, including President of both the New Jersey Psychiatric Association and the Nevada Association of Psychiatric Physicians.
