Huston, Walter, 1884-1950

Walter Huston was an actor known for his over forty years of experience in Broadway and Hollywood. Huston was born as Walter Houghston on April 05, 1884 in Toronto, Ontario. He joined a stock acting company in 1902 after running away from home, and later traveled to New York where he began acting in vaudeville. Huston's career in Hollywood began in the late 1920s, and he would continue acting until his death on April 07, 1950. His acting roles include Howard in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) and Doc Holliday in the Howard Hughes-produced and directed The Outlaw (1943).
