Knop, Siegfried

Description

"Siegfried (Siggy) Knop, NWS, studied fine arts and motion picture arts at Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles and taught architectural illustration for twelve years. His own work in the field of fine arts has been exhibited in de Young Museum in San Francisco and the Pasadena Art Museum. In 1951, while still a student, Mr. Knop was accepted into the National Watercolor Society. He remains an active member today.

Over his 45-year professional career, Mr. Knop has specialized in architectural illustrations, graphic design and color consultation, headquartering in his Los Angeles area offices and working primarily in transparent and opaque watercolor. After a 45-year career as an architectural illustrator, Siggy has combined his linear and structural approach to the canvas with a free and interpretive style using acrylic on paper or canvas. His representational work allows him to blend both intuitive and technical methods."
