Oral history interview with Rosina Goodwin conducted by Bruce Eubank on March 15, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Goodwin first talks about her family background before discussing the Las Vegas Strip, the Stewart Ranch, and Twin Lakes. She also talks about schools, Boulder (Hoover) Dam, the atomic testing, and her work as a telephone operator. Oral history interview with Leonard E. Goodall conducted by David Emerson on March 28, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. In this interview Leonard Goodall discusses accepting a position as president of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1979. He then talks about how he oversaw the development of the College of Engineering, helped create the UNLV Foundation, and appointed a number of people to administrative positions in the university.

Oral history interview with Rowena Gonzalez conducted by Michael Boyd on March 01, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Gonzalez first talks about her family background and residential history before discussing the way of life in Texas and eventual move to Las Vegas, Nevada. Several topics covered in the interview include Gonzalez’s recollections of the atomic testing, the building of the Boulder (Hoover) Dam, and Howard Hughes. The two also discuss tourism, the properties on the Strip and in Downtown Las Vegas, and early means of transportation.

The interview covers Rita Golub’s life in Las Vegas, Nevada and includes discussion about the Queen Mother of El Dorado Canyon. Golub also discusses the Las Vegas Strip, night entertainment, and religious activities in Las Vegas.

Godbey discusses how he and his wife were the first couple to build a home in Boulder City, Nevada. He also talks about working for the City Marshall and Water Commission of Silverton, Nevada, and the Mining Nevada Assembly.

Oral history interview with Victor Givens conducted by LeGary Stowers on March 15, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Givens first talks about his family background and then talks about his educational, occupational, and residential histories. He then talks about the various qualities required of individuals who work in the casino industry, his beliefs regarding religion and gambling, and some of the motivations and goals that are present for those within the field of gaming.

Oral history interview with Barbara Givens conducted by Claytee D. White on October 05, 2005 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. Givens discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada from Reno, Nevada in 1952 and receiving a degree in teaching from what is now the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also talks about teaching in two Las Vegas high schools and a class for new teachers at UNLV.
