Oral history interview with Carrie Townley Porter conducted by Claytee D. White on February 07, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. Townley discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1962, working as a substitute teacher and finishing her degree at Nevada Southern University (now the University of Nevada Las Vegas- UNLV). She also talks about teaching math at Gibson Junior High, working at UNLV as an archivist, a records analyst, and records administrator for different businesses.

Nicholas discusses working in casinos and the rise of gaming in Las Vegas, Nevada. Oral history interview with Betty Pomeroy conducted by Jackie Ogden on March 23, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Pomeroy discusses her personal history, education in Las Vegas, Nevada, and labor unions. She then describes Nevada politics, specifically being active with political campaigns. Later, Pomeroy discusses gambling and its significance to the Las Vegas economy, along with the consequences that come with gambling. Lastly, Pomeroy recalls social life, recreational activities, and her employment in the hospitality industry.

Oral history interview with John Pocock conducted by Jeffrey J. Wild on March 08, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Pocock describes his history as an Irish immigrant, his move to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1950, and life in the city during the 1950s. He discusses housing availability in Las Vegas and the development of the city, including the construction of casinos which he claims encouraged the growth of Las Vegas. He talks about working in a casino that eventually became the Sands Hotel and Casino, organized crime in Las Vegas, and the future of the city.

Oral history interview with Lonnie Pittman conducted by Beverly Williams on March 16, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Pittman, an African American man, describes the treatment and living conditions of African Americans in Las Vegas, Nevada during the 1950s. Pittman also discusses the job opportunities available to African Americans, segregation, and the quality of schooling available to African American children at the time.

Oral history interview with Chris Phipps conducted by Dennis McBride on November 16, 1998 for the Las Vegas Gay Archives Oral History Project. Phipps talks about coming to terms being a gay man in California, being involved with the Apollo Spa and Health center, and becoming a lawyer.

Oral history interview with Marjory Gusewelle Phillips conducted by Jodie C. Tenuta on May 11, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Phillips discusses growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada and describes various recreational activities throughout the city. Phillips then discusses the significance of the Helldorado Parade to locals and how the parade brought the community together. Phillips later recalls watching the Boulder (Hoover) Dam being constructed and the events around the opening of the dam.

In this interview, Phelps discusses his career working on the railroads in Nevada and California before moving to Blue Diamond, Nevada to work as a miner. Phelps describes life as a miner in Blue Diamond and the town's history. Phelps also discusses changes that occurred in the town after the Flintkote Company took over the mining operation.
