Oral history interview with Dee Ellen Grubbs conducted by Susan K. Bakos on October 17, 1985 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. In this interview, Grubbs discusses her early life in California and early interest in nursing. She talks about to Las Vegas, Nevada, teaching courses at the Clark County Community College, and her employment at the Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital (SNMH). Grubbs describes the decentralized management style at SNMH, the float policy, and nurse shortages in the early 1960s.

The Stephen G. Brown Literary Papers (approximately 1974-2020) consist of the literary work of University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) professor Stephen G. Brown. The collection contains journals, sketch books, published and unpublished manuscripts, and literary criticism articles written by Brown. Collection also includes digital files relating to Brown's work as an author.

Oral history interview with Barbara Cole conducted by Claytee D. White on June 29, 2005 for the the African Americans in Las Vegas: a Collaborative Oral History Project. In this interview, Barbara Cole talks about the history of African Americans in Las Vegas, Nevada previous to the 1950s. She discusses her early childhood and her large family, as well as the family's contributions to the community. Barbara shares her thoughts on the race relations in Las Vegas throughout her life and details some of her own personal experiences with it.

Oral history interview with Rose Lawson conducted by Helen Littleton and Connie Degernes on July 26, 1974 for the Boulder City Oral History Project. In this interview, Lawson discusses living in Boulder City, Nevada during the construction of the Boulder Dam. She remembers the houses built by Six Companies, Inc., the first churches built in Boulder City, and the increase in population in the early 1940s.

Oral history interview with Marjorie Pierce conducted by Andres Moses on January 17, 2006 for the Living to Dance: Tapping in Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Pierce discusses her early life in Kansas City, Missouri and becoming a dancer at a young age. She talks about moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1951, performing at the Desert Inn Hotel and Casino and the Dunes Hotel and Casino, and being cast in the musical Tenderloin. Pierce describes tap dancing techniques and unions for professional dancers.

Oral history interview with Reithal Urioste conducted by Mary K. Keiser on January 20, 2006 for the Living to Dance Oral History Project: Tapping in Las Vegas. In this interview, Urioste discusses her early life in Burbank, California and her career in dancing. She talks about the various dancing styles that she learned and her introduction to tap dancing. Urioste remembers touring around the world and performing at different hotels and casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Oral history interview with Robert Parker conducted by Dennis McBride on June 02, 1986 and November 09, 1986 for the Boulder City Library Oral History Project. In this interview, Parker discusses the construction of the Hoover Dam and the development of Boulder City, Nevada. Parker recalls the events on December 07, 1941, the closing of Hoover Dam shortly after the Pearl Harbor attacks, and United States military protection of the dam during World War II.

Alumni of the Historic Westside School of Las Vegas, also known as the Las Vegas Grammar School, gathered in 2010 to celebrate the official registration of the school as a historic site in the city. These alumni discussed their education, what they remember of the school, their teachers, and what life was like in Las Vegas at that time.

Oral history interview with Don Payne conducted by Mara E. Vernon on March 19, 1997 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. In this interview, Payne discusses his career with the Las Vegas News Bureau. He talks about his role as Head of the Bureau and his work in promoting Las Vegas through media outlets. Payne remembers the Bureau’s partnership with the Union Pacific Railroad and the beginning of corporate ownership in Las Vegas hotels and casinos.
