Scope and Contents
The Spring Mountains National Recreation Area (SMNRA) Species of Critical Concern illustrations were created by SK Schafer/Skydance Studio for the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in 2005. The illustrations depict 17 Plant Species of Critical Concern in the SMNRA. These pen and ink botanical illustrations appeared in an USFS in-house publication to help SMNRA land managers identify these rare species.
