Scope and Contents
Three interpretive waysides were created by SK Schafer/Skydance Studio in collaboration with the USFS Spring Mountains National Recreation Area (SMNRA), Clark County, Nevada. The waysides were placed at the Bristlecone Trail trailhead. The SMNRA, also known as Mount Charleston, is a popular destination for outdoor recreation near Las Vegas, Nevada. It also hosts a diverse array of flora and fauna, influenced by varying elevations and ecological zones. From the desert floor to alpine peaks, the mountains host a range of plant and animal life, including endemic species found nowhere else in the world.
