In 2004 ten 42 x 24 inch waysides were created by SK Schafer/Skydance Studio working with the Red Rock Canyon Interpretive Association (now the Southern Nevada Conservancy) for the Willow Spring/Lost Creek area of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area (RRCNCA), Clark County, NV. Subjects included Geology, Ecology, Cultural History and Recreation. In 2012, an additional wayside was created for the Willow Springs picnic area. This sign informed visitors about Willow Spring’s delicate ecosystem and its unique endemic snails. In 2020,10 waysides were redesigned and 4 more added using the Bureau of Land Management’s new required black background. These signs retained many 2004 and 2012 illustrations and added 25 new ones. The waysides are located along the Children’s Discovery Trail, Peaches Petroglyph Site, and Willow Spring area.
