Grant. Governor of the State of Colorado, do earnestly recommend that the people of this State observe that day in such manner as their religious beliefs may dictate, the purpose being to make proper recognition of the blessings which we, as a people, have received from the Supreme Ruler during the past year. To this end I therefore hereby designate Thursday, the twenty-ninth day of November, A.D. 1883, as a day of general thanksgiving throughout the State of Colorado. <br> <br> <br> By the Governor, James B.
