Can You Design a Plot?

Activity Description

The teacher will read the plot dimensions aloud without allowing students to see the plots. While doing so, students will draw how they imagine the plots would look. Once completed, show students the plot maps and determine whether their renditions resemble that of the plot map. Determine what additional mathematical information may have contributed to ensuring the accuracy of their drawings.

      2. 3.12.5: Determine the measure of unknown dimensions, angles, areas, and volumes using relationships and formulas to solve problems.
      3. 4.12.8: Solve problems by drawing and/or constructing geometric figures to demonstrate geometric relationships.
