Abstract
The Frank Mitrani Photographs depict people and events in Las Vegas, Nevada from 1953 to 2010. The photographs are primarily portraits of Las Vegas businesspeople, including realtors, salespeople, insurance agents, bankers, and executives. The photographs depict several service organizations operating in Southern Nevada, including the Rotary Club of Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Jaycees, the Elks Lodge, and the Assistance League. The photographs also depict hotels and casinos, politicians and political campaigns, news organizations, schools, the Elks Lodge, healthcare professionals, weddings and engagements, and religious events.

Biographical / Historical Note
Frank Mitrani (January 9, 1931-) is a professional photographer who specialized in aerial photography of Las Vegas Valley, as well as photographing people and events that took place across Las Vegas. He worked as a photographer for the Las Vegas Review-Journal from 1957 to 1962, and started his own photography business in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1962, which he named Mitrani Photography (located at 1222 Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, Nevada). He closed Mitrani Photography and moved to Kanab, Utah in 2010 where he currently resides with Jean Mitrani, his wife.

Materials were processed by Special Collections staff. In 2016, as part of a legacy finding aid conversion project, Lindsay Oden wrote the finding aid. In 2018, as part of an archival backlog elimination project, Sarah Jones revised the collection description to bring it into compliance with current professional standards. In 2022, Sarah Jones and Aaron Mayes processed the 2022 accession and revised the finding aid.
