Biographical / Historical Note
Coast Casinos, Inc., formerly known as Coast Resorts, Inc., was founded on March 02, 1979 by Michael Gaughan. The company owned and operated Barbary Coast Hotel and Casino, Gold Coast Hotel and Casino, the Orleans Hotel and Casino, and Suncoast Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. On February 06, 2004, Coast Casinos, Inc. was acquired by Boyd Gaming and in 2006 South Coast Casino, now known as South Point Hotel and Casino, began operation.
