% 3t.Thomas, Nevada July 1st,1924 Mrs Sadie B,George Los Angej.es, Cal. Dear Madam. I received your la s t le tt e r sometime ago, but fa ile d to answer becaus/ of haveing met with a somewhat serious axident at the magnesite claim s,dislocating my shoulder and otherwise bruising me. Am completing the assessment work to-morrow and w ill f i l e proof*of labor forthwith. I Herewith inclosed you w ill finde two copies of agreement"optioning the claims to fa lk e r and Mrs Timmons, forthe sum of *210,000 with a payment of $10,000 down, most of the money is now I n " ’ the Las Vegas Bank and balance w ill be in within a few days, I am enclosing the papers fo r your signature, which signature you w ill have to acknowledge before a notary public. But I do not want you to signs and acknowledge them u n till you receive a wire from me saying "$igne$" therefore hold the papers u n t ill further notice from me, I f you receive the said wire then in that event immediatley signe and return them to me,but dont do i t u n till I so wire you. My reason fo r this is , that I do not want the papers signed and acknowledged, thereby^ establishing a notorail record ,u n till a l l of the money is in the bank and I know we are .going to get i t , and am now sending the papers to you by way of dhhdihgh saving time when the balance of the money is in. I think i t w ill come and that the parties are acting in good £ f a i t h . 1 So just hold the papers u n til! you hear from me one way or another lou w ill note the papers are drawn so that a ll &&&&£&<?:&&£! money would not be paid u n till 1930'i f the contract ws stric tle y >ralker has been here, he adhered to. Bu! assems a llr igh t and a real liv e wire with good fin an cial backing, that is lots of property, and he says the f i r s t thing w ill be the construction of the plant and i f that is successful, they w ill immediatley thereupon want to bond the entire property and to do so they w ill pay o u t in ^u ll so that they can have t i t le and go ahead I think liklejr to pay up in f u l l within a year or year and a h a lf. But i f not we w ill get the $10,000 before the clreil goes and i f we have to waits u n till 1930 before we have the last payment it cant be helped. The facts are I am getting worn out and used up and am not going to monkey with this fo r much longer i f do f a i l in getting a l l we think we should Save. P As soon as §&$&&& balance of $10,000 is wired to the bank w ill wire you to signe,thereupn/rush signature and acknowledgment and return papers as quickley as possible,so the deal can be felosec i f they do not deposit bo and in that efeent hold ti| -Jkuom me. This . has# i ven know what"'it Td"'/ .ance you w ill receive no such wire papers u n till you’, J^ear' filH her a pain in the slt^Ji&er, so 2? dont "~^o read i t .
