I received your la s t le tt e r sometime ago, but fa ile d to answer becaus/ of haveing met with a somewhat serious axident at the magnesite claim s,dislocating my shoulder and otherwise bruising me. Am completing the assessment work to-morrow and w ill f i l e proof*of labor forthwith. I Herewith inclosed you w ill finde two copies of agreement"optioning the claims to fa lk e r and Mrs Timmons, forthe sum of *210,000 with a payment of $10,000 down, most of the money is now I n " ’ the Las Vegas Bank and balance w ill be in within a few days, I am enclosing the papers fo r your signature,which signature you w ill have to acknowledge before a notary public. But I do not want you to signs and acknowledge them u n till you receive a wire from me saying "$igne$" therefore hold the papers u n t ill further notice from me, I f you receive the said wire then in that event immediatley signe and return them to me,but dont do i t u n till I so wire you. My reason fo r this is , that I do not want the papers signed and acknowledged, thereby^ establishing a notorail record ,u n till a l l of the money is in the bank and I know we are .going to get i t , and am now sending the papers to you by way of dhhdihgh saving time when the balance of the money is in.
