Mr. Hampton E.George, Los Vegas,Lincoln County,Nevada. Dear Sir: In closed you will find,a copy of the statement of your account in regard to the Winter's estate, which I filed yesterday, also a copy of an ordre filed by the Judge authorizing you and commanding you to pay to each of the creditors their portion of the money in your hands. Also you can pay the balances due of the expense of settling up the estate. I cant understand the note at the bottom of your .bill, wherein you say you paid the Attorney $55#-you have only paid me $50#, as follows :-At the time I commenced the suit you paid me $20#-you remember you paxdxma wanted to pay me $10#and I sak#*ror $20# and you paid it. Then you sent me a check for $10#,and then last term the Judge requested you to pay me^ $20#which you did,and $25#on the Kiel Estate-you gave me a Chech for $45#. I am certain that is every dollar I ever received from you. There is now due me on or from the estate $40#,and from the White account~$25— $65# The J^idge thought your bill too much. I had to reform the bi£L,amd have it show what you made- these charges for. He thought $40$for going to Goods — springs too much, and he loohed at the Statutes, and found that you had charged $10#p#%cemtage too much-it should have been $85#. And I had to show that your expenses was so much a day for team, and other necessaries in coming up here &c. Mr. Osborne was the only one there representing any of the creditors, and he did not object t]ft the bill,in fact I ask him to recommend its allowance-hence the Judge allowed it. The Judge said he presumed you would pay off by checks, and if so the return check will be a good receipt,to protect you;but I will draw and send you a form of receipt, which have each of the creditors sign, and then send them up to me,and I^will file them as a voucher, with the final account. Trusting that this will be satisfactory to you, arid that you will,as soon as practicable, pay off the claims and return vouchers to me,I remain, Yours very truly, ji
