To Property Owners in Special Assessment District No. IOO-362 The City of Las Vegas has recently awarded a contract and will shortly commence construction of street improvements in connection with Assessment District No. 100-36. It is felt that this advance notice will enable you, as an individual property owner, to make any necessary arrangements with regard to the relocation of trees, shrubs, fences, water service lines, sanitary sewer laterals, or any other obstruction that may be in the public right-of-way. We particularly call your attention to the requirement that all water service lines be a minimum of 30 inches below the finished street surface and sanitary sewer laterals a minimum of 3 feet. It is your responsibility to see that your water and sewer service lines comply with this regulation in advance of construction. The City cannot assume responsibility for damage to water service or sewer laterals which are not below the minimum required depth. One driveway curb cut will be allowed for each fifty foot lot but only if there is a garage or carport requiring access from the street. Please advise the City Engineering Department of the need for this curb cut well in advance of construction. It is requested that you pave your driveway from the gutter to the property line. Portland cement concrete paving is preferred but asphalt paving will be acceptable except for commercial driveways. Please realize that a construction project of this nature will cause you some inconvenience, however, the City's Field Personnel will use every precaution possible to keep this inconvenience to a minimum., In the event there is any misunderstanding with regard to the intent of this notice, you are cordially invited to telephone, or personally contact, the City Engineering Department for further clarification. The telephone number is Dudley 2-1900, extension 2!?8l. Very truly yours, G. E. Wade DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS CLK/b
